We went to Oahu Hawaii and stayed 16 days. Believe it or not, you can go to Hawaii and not spend an arm and a leg. It was everything I dreamed it would be and more! I liked Oahu because we were able to drive anywhere in less than an hour and see different parts of the island. We visited SEVERAL beaches. Lani Kai & Kailua beach was the best hands down! For great snorkeling, go to Shark's Cove on the North Shore.

One way you can cut wedding cost and recieve the perfect gift is by registering your honeymoon. We went to Hawaii and we used some of points from our reward credit card. I know a lot of brides who charge all of their expenses for the wedding to one credit card with points for an airline or hotel and then use that for the honeymoon. We also found that when people know it's your honeymoon sometimes they upgrade you!

We actually eloped, and had our honeymoon at the same place we had our wedding. It made the actually day so much more enjoyable ... so far removed from the pressures of everyday life, and we got to feel that we were just continuing what we had been doing anyway. There was a whole lot less stress associated with that than what I've seen some others experience! We were in Byron Bay, NSW, Australia - the most easterly point of the country and quite an artistic, hippy-ish community. It cost hardly anything, but we had the time of our lives
